GUGGENHEIM & BILBAO
Important Information: This tour is unsuitable for guests with walking difficulties as it involves long distances to cover- comfortable shoes are recommended. The visit inside the museum will be without a guide and at your own pace. Information will be given through an audio guide system (QR Code) to download in your personal electronic device. Guggenheim Museum is offering free Wi-fi to the visitors to scan the QR code and connect the device to the app that allows to listen the proper explanations in different languages. We strongly recommend to visitors the use of earbuds inside. This excursion is not available on Mondays from October to May.<-p>

Riding on MSC¿s regular or e-bikes, you begin the journey along the scenic Lutxana Cycle Path. This modern route introduces you to Bilbao¿s transformation from an industrial hub to a contemporary city, offering a gentle yet invigorating start to your adventure.<-p> Approaching the Guggenheim Museum, you¿ll have time to admire its titanium curves and striking architecture, designed by Frank Gehry. The Guggenheim symbolises Bilbao¿s cultural renewal and has become an international reference for modern art since its opening in 1997. Cycling further, you make your way to the heart of Bilbao, where Santiago Cathedral awaits. This 14th-century Gothic landmark stands as the city¿s oldest church and is a notable stop for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago.<-p> Winding through Bilbao Old Town, you experience the lively atmosphere of the `Siete Calles¿ (Seven Streets), full of local shops, authentic Basque eateries, and centuries-old architecture. Perhaps start with the elegant Miramar Palace, which dates from the late 19th century and offers splendid views of the bay. Or visit the Gothic Revival Cathedral of the Good Shepherd, a striking landmark with its soaring spires. If you enjoy theatre and the arts, the Victoria Eugenia Theatre awaits your discovery.
