Your adventure begins with a short drive from the pier to the enchanting hilltop village of Ano Syros. Founded by the Venetians in 1200, this charming settlement has preserved its medieval and Catholic character throughout the centuries, making it one of the island¿s most iconic locations. As your coach ascends the hill, you¿ll soon be welcomed by whitewashed houses and narrow streets lined with arches, each step unveiling a deeper connection to the village¿s rich history.<-p>

Once in Ano Syros, your time will be divided between a guided walk and some free time to explore at your own pace. Follow your guide through the village¿s famous labyrinthine alleyways. Pass by ancient houses perched on the hillside, offering breathtaking views across the island. Along the route, your guide will share fascinating stories about the village¿s past as you make your way to the highest point, where the Church of St. George stands proudly.<-p>

The medieval atmosphere is wonderfully preserved here, with winding lanes and stunning vistas around every corner. After the guided walk, enjoy some free time to wander the cobbled streets further, perhaps stopping for a coffee at a local café or simply soaking up the tranquil beauty of this timeless village.<-p>

When your exploration comes to an end, re-board the coach for the short drive back to the pier.<-p>

Continue through the charming shopping district, dotted with quaint boutiques and cafés, and proceed to the picturesque Vaporia quarter. Known for its neoclassical mansions, this historic area was once home to wealthy sea captains and merchants whose grand homes stand proudly overlooking the sea.<-p>

Pause for a short visit at St. Nicholas Church, the town¿s main place of worship, where you can admire its serene beauty. Next, head downhill towards the city centre, passing the Monument to the Unknown Soldier and more splendid neoclassical buildings.<-p>

The beach is also awarded the prestigious Blue Flag, ensuring that it meets high environmental and safety standards. With approximately three-and-a-half hours of free time, this is the perfect opportunity to bask in the sun, take a refreshing swim, or simply relax by the shore. Whether you choose to enjoy a peaceful stroll along the beach or indulge in a quiet moment of relax, Galissas beach promises a rejuvenating experience. After your experience at the beach in total relaxation, your visit concludes with a 30-minute transfer back to the port. Galissas Beach offers the ideal retreat, allowing you to unwind and connect with nature in a truly beautiful setting.
