• You'll travel to the island of Nea Kameni from Fira harbor in a gulet, a traditional local vessel, which is fascinating in itself.
• Our guide will tell you that the uninhabited island of Nea Kameni lies at the heart of the Santorini caldera and is the result of lava eruptions over the last two thousand years. Welcome to the moon… or almost. You're about to reach the crater of an active volcano. Here you'll see fragments of lava and some spectacular volcanic rock formations. There are no plants except for the small red succulents that cover the surface in warmer months, and a single fig tree that thrives, incredibly, on top of the crater.
• Get back on the gulet and sail on to Palia Kameni for a dip in its hot springs, known for their therapeutic benefits. Be careful, however, because the sulfur-rich water could discolor your bathing suit.
• After a reviving swim, you'll set sail for the port of Fira.

• From there, you'll travel to Perivolos Beach, an almost 7 km long stretch of black volcanic sand. You just think about relaxing, we'll take care of the rest, providing you with umbrellas, loungers and chilled beverages.

Begin this relaxing trip with a 15-minute tender boat transfer from the ship to Athinios port, followed by a 50-minute coach ride past Fira and Imerovigli to Oia. During the drive to this fairytale-like village, a guide will give orientation information to help everyone get the most from approximately 60 minutes of free time.<-p>

Stroll through Oia¿s narrow white lanes, grab photos of the views out to the caldera or watch the world go by from a cafe or restaurant ¿ the options are plentiful. Afterwards, sit back on the 40-minute drive to Perivolos Beach, known for its black sands and clear waters. Then, get ready for a generous slot of free time (approximately three hours) to be spent relaxing in a premium seaside destination. Sunbathe, take a swim, try out some watersports (season and weather dependent) or explore the nearby clifftop scenery ¿ once again, there are numerous choices.<-p>

To make a stay here even more appealing, a light lunch is included, meaning there are local flavours to be enjoyed beside the Aegean waters. The excursion concludes with a 30-minute drive back to Athinios port and a 15-minute tender transfer to the ship.<-p>
