RINCON BEACH EXCURSION
Excursion Details<-strong><-p> Depart the pier and travel through the scenic landscapes of the Samaná Peninsula. Along the route, take in panoramic views of the surrounding coastline, mountains and countryside as you make your way towards El Rincón Beach.<-p> Upon arrival, spend time at El Rincón Beach, a destination known for its natural beauty, clear waters and relaxed atmosphere. The beach offers an opportunity to enjoy the coastal scenery, take a stroll along the shoreline or simply unwind in your sunbed while taking in the surroundings.<-p> The visit also includes a stop at Caño Frío, a freshwater river that flows directly into the ocean. Here, guests can observe the distinctive meeting point of river and sea, creating a unique natural landscape. The cool freshwater provides a contrast to the surrounding ocean waters and contributes to the area s picturesque setting.<-p> Following the visit, return to the transportation for the journey back to the pier.<-p> Important Information:<-strong>Please note: Guests are recommended to bring a bathing suit, sunscreen, cash for additional purchases, and their own towel. Along the way, your guide will provide information about the history, culture and traditions of both the Dominican Republic and the local region.<-p> During the excursion, enjoy several stops that offer insight into daily life in the countryside. A photo stop provides an opportunity to admire the surrounding scenery before continuing to La Fuente, where you will visit a local country church and learn about its significance within the community.<-p> The experience continues with a visit to a cigar factory, where guests can observe the traditional process of hand-rolling Dominican cigars and learn about one of the country s best-known products. You will also have the opportunity to sample organic cocoa and gain an understanding of its role in local agriculture.<-p> Next, visit a family-owned ranch to learn about rural life and local traditions. During your time here, there will be an opportunity to browse a selection of locally made handicrafts and products.<-p> The excursion concludes with a typical Dominican lunch before returning to the port.<-p> Important Information:<-strong>Please note: Guests are recommended to wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. SALTO EL LIMON
Excursion Details<-strong><-p> Depart the pier and travel through the scenic countryside of the Samaná Peninsula. Along the route, take in views of the region s tropical vegetation and rural landscapes while your guide provides information about the area s natural environment and local traditions.<-p> Upon arrival at the trailhead, begin a guided hike through lush forest surroundings. Follow a natural trail featuring a variety of native plants and tropical flora while learning about the ecosystem that thrives within this part of the peninsula.<-p> The hike leads to El Limón Waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in the Dominican Republic. Surrounded by dense vegetation and rocky cliffs, the waterfall cascades into a natural freshwater pool below.<-p> Upon reaching the waterfall, enjoy time to relax, take photographs or swim in the clear waters of the natural pool. Guests may also take in the peaceful atmosphere and scenic surroundings before beginning the return journey.<-p> Following the visit, return along the trail and rejoin your transportation for the drive back to the pier.<-p> Important Information:<-strong>Please note: It is recommended that guests wear comfortable clothing and shoes. COASTAL CATAMARAN TO CAYO LEVANTADO
Excursion Details:<-strong><-p> After disembarking, meet your guides at the dispatch area near the pier for an approximately 15-minute walk to the embarkation point. Following a brief safety orientation, board your power catamaran and set sail across the waters of Samaná Bay.<-p> During the approximately 50-minute cruise, take in views of emerald-green hills, coconut palms, mangroves, and tropical coastline as you make your way toward Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island.<-p> Upon arrival, enjoy approximately 1 hour of free time to relax and explore the island at your own pace. Stroll along the beach, swim in the calm turquoise waters, or simply unwind and admire the surroundings. Beach chairs, refreshments, lunch, and other amenities are available for purchase at an additional cost.<-p> After your island visit, reboard the catamaran and enjoy an approximately 1-hour sail back across Samaná Bay before returning to the pier.<-p> Important Information:<-strong>For safety reasons, guests under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will not be permitted to participate. Guests must be at least 8 years old to participate, and the maximum age is 75 years. Sailing is weather dependent. Life jackets are mandatory during the voyage. Soft drinks served onboard the catamaran are included. Food, alcoholic beverages, beach chairs, and other resort amenities are available for purchase at an additional cost. CAVE & MANGROVE BY KAYAK
Excursion Details<-strong><-p> Enjoy an approximately 20-minute drive from the pier to Samaná Town, where you will board an open boat for an approximately 45-minute journey to Los Haitises National Park, a protected area known for its distinctive rock formations, mangrove forests and diverse wildlife.<-p> Upon arrival, spend approximately 45 minutes exploring the park by boat. During the cruise, pass coastal formations including the site known as "Mouth of the Shark," a large cave formation that emerges from the sea, before continuing to Bird Cay, home to a variety of bird species including frigatebirds, pelicans and vultures.<-p> Next, participate in an approximately 15-minute safety briefing and receive the equipment required for the kayaking portion of the excursion.<-p> The experience then continues with approximately one hour of combined kayaking and cave exploration. Guests will be divided into two groups, with one group kayaking through the mangrove channels while the other explores San Gabriel Cave on foot. After approximately 30 minutes, the groups will switch activities. While kayaking, guests can observe the mangrove ecosystem and its wildlife, including bird nests, small crabs and oysters. During the cave visit, guests will have the opportunity to view ancient Taíno pictographs and learn about the history of the island s original inhabitants.<-p> Following the activities, return the equipment and board the boat for the approximately 45-minute journey back to Samaná Town. DOMINICAN FARM-TO-TABLE EXPERIENCE: CHOCOLATE, COFFEE & EXOTIC FRUIT TASTING
Excursion Details<-strong><-p> Meet your tour guide at the designated dispatch area before walking approximately 15 minutes to the transportation boarding point. From here, enjoy an approximately 35-minute drive into the countryside to a working Dominican farm, where your guide will share information about the local culture, traditions and agricultural heritage of the Samaná Peninsula.<-p> Upon arrival, receive a welcome and brief safety orientation before embarking on an approximately 40-minute guided walk through the farm s plantations and gardens. Explore a variety of tropical fruit trees, native crops and aromatic herbs while learning about traditional farming methods and the role these products play in daily Dominican life.<-p> Next, spend approximately one hour participating in a farm-to-table coffee and chocolate experience. Learn about the cultivation, harvesting and preparation of Dominican coffee before enjoying a freshly brewed cup. Continue with an introduction to cacao production, observing how cacao beans are processed and traditionally ground. OFF-ROAD BUGGY ADVENTURE
Excursion Details:<-strong><-p> Following an approximate 40-minute transfer through Samaná s countryside, you ll arrive at the buggy base and prepare for an off-road ride. Climb aboard your buggy and set off through rugged terrain, splashing through muddy puddles, passing small rural communities, and experiencing the authentic charm of daily life in the Dominican Republic.<-p> The adventure continues with a stop at a traditional local home, where you ll spend approximately 30 minutes learning about regional planting and harvesting practices while sampling organic coffee or rich Dominican chocolate. This immersive cultural experience offers a fascinating glimpse into the island s agricultural heritage and daily life.<-p> Next, journey to Caño Frío, an emerald-green river surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. Enjoy approximately 30 minutes to relax, swim in the refreshing freshwater pools, and take in the area s beautiful natural scenery before continuing your adventure.<-p> Afterward, enjoy an approximately 20-minute buggy ride back to the operations base, soaking in the last views of Samaná s spectacular countryside. From there, an approximate 50-minute transfer returns you to the pier, bringing this unforgettable adventure to a close.<-p> Important Information:<-strong>The price of this excursion is per person. Each buggy accommodates two guests, and solo travelers may be paired with another participant. AMAZING BEACH HOPPING ESCAPE
Excursion Details<-strong><-p> Begin with an approximately 30-minute drive from the pier to Las Galeras Beach, where you will board a speedboat for the journey along the coast.<-p> Your first destination is Frontón Beach, reached after an approximately 30-minute boat ride. Upon arrival, enjoy approximately 45 minutes for swimming and snorkeling in the clear waters. The beach is known for its natural surroundings and marine life, making it a suitable location for observing tropical fish.<-p> Next, continue by boat for approximately 15 minutes to Madama Beach. Spend around 30 minutes enjoying a swim stop at this small beach, which is accessible only by sea and surrounded by rocky coastal scenery.<-p> The excursion then continues with an approximately 30-minute boat ride to Playita Beach. Here, enjoy approximately one hour and 30 minutes of leisure time, including lunch. Guests may choose to swim, relax on the beach, or rest on the sunbeds that are included.<-p> At the conclusion of the visit, return to Las Galeras Beach and enjoy an approximately 30-minute drive back to the pier.<-p> Important Information:<-strong>Please note: This tour is not a break tour. Guests will then enjoy approximately 3 hours of free time experiencing the island at their own pace. Watch skilled artisans expertly hand-roll premium cigars using techniques passed down through generations and learn about the important role tobacco plays in the country s economy and culture.<-p> The journey continues to the picturesque seaside town of Las Terrenas. Once a quiet fishing village, Las Terrenas has evolved into one of the Dominican Republic s most charming coastal destinations, known for its beaches, boutique shops, international cafés, and laid-back Caribbean atmosphere. Upon arrival, enjoy a brief introduction to the mangroves and their importance to the local environment before spending approximately one hour immersed in the mangrove plantation, learning how these forests support wildlife, protect coastlines, and contribute to the region s ecological balance.<-p> Next, take an approximately 30-minute scenic drive to the colorful colonial streets of Sánchez. Here, you ll have about 30 minutes to stroll among brightly painted homes, browse local shops, and experience the sights and sounds of everyday Dominican life.<-p> Conclude your tour with a 30-minute drive back to the pier, bringing this memorable cultural and nature-focused experience to a close.<-p>
