Cruise by catamaran across beautiful Samana Bay to explore Los Haitises National Park. After an approximately 5-10-minute walk from the ship and a brief safety talk, you ll begin your adventure. Travel across the bay to see the natural features of Los Haitises National Park. View limestone formations, shaped over time by natural forces, rising from the water and surrounded by forest. The area includes cliffs, caves, and small islands covered in mangroves, palms, and local plants. It s a great spot for birdwatching and nature viewing. Navigate through mangrove channels, where you may see various plants and wildlife. Then step ashore for a guided walk to Taíno caves, where rock paintings give insight into the island s early culture. After exploring the natural beauty and rich history of Los Haitises, wind down your day with a relaxed catamaran cruise back to the port. Enjoy upbeat music and a festive atmosphere, all while sipping on refreshing national beer or soft drinks. Guests must be at least 8 years old to participate.

Guests are recommended to wear closed shoes and preferably with anti-slip soles to prevent slipping on uneven or wet surfaces such as rocks and cave floors. Guests are recommended to dress in cool, outdoor appropriate clothing. The use of lifejackets is mandatory during navigation. Guests who are hard of hearing or hearing impaired must be accompanied by an assistant, friend, or family member. Moreover, all guests must be in good physical condition, fully ambulatory, and able to walk independently through rough-uneven terrain. For safety reasons, guests with neck or back injuries, recent surgeries, asthma, diabetes, schizophrenia, panic disorders, epilepsy, blindness, pregnancy, or any heart or respiratory conditions are not permitted to participate on this tour. EXPLORING SAN LORENZO BAY BY BOAT & MANGROVE KAYAKING ADVENTURE

Set sail to San Lorenzo Bay! After disembarking the ship, meet your guide and take a 10- to 15-minute walk to the boat. Then enjoy a 55-minute ride across the bay, where you ll see a mix of coastal landscapes, mountain peaks, and calm waters. Then continue toward San Lorenzo Bay for your kayaking adventure. At the kayaking launch point, you ll receive a safety briefing and get your gear, including a double kayak, paddles, and life jacket. Set off on a 45- to 50-minute guided paddle along the shoreline. Navigate through mangrove channels and natural tunnels formed by roots and branches. Your guide will point out features of the area, along with possible sightings of local wildlife like iguanas and birds. After kayaking, continue with a 30-minute guided walk to explore a group of caves in Los Haitises National Park. Inside, see rock formations, stalactites, and stalagmites, along with cave paintings believed to have been created by the Taíno people, the island s original inhabitants. Guests must be at least 13 years old to participate.

Climb aboard a power catamaran and cruise through the pristine waters of Samana Bay. Disembark the ship and meet your guide before heading on a 10-15-minute walk to the embarkation point. After a safety briefing, board a power catamaran and begin your journey across Samana Bay. As you cruise, enjoy views of the surrounding coastline and pass by the town s well-known pedestrian bridge, a local landmark built in the 1960s to connect the mainland with nearby keys. After about an hour on the water, arrive near the island of Cayo Levantado, where you ll have free time to swim, relax on the beach, or enjoy the scenery. Next, head to a nearby coastal resort for a buffet lunch featuring a selection of Dominican-style dishes. After your meal, take some time to relax by the resort s infinity pool or simply enjoy the views of Samana Bay. When your time at the resort comes to an end, board the catamaran for your return trip to the cruise port. Guests must be at least 7 years old to participate.
