Your guide will point out features of the area, along with possible sightings of local wildlife like iguanas and birds. After kayaking, continue with a 30-minute guided walk to explore a group of caves in Los Haitises National Park. The hike leads to El Limón Waterfall, one of the tallest waterfalls in the Dominican Republic. Surrounded by dense vegetation and rocky cliffs, the waterfall cascades into a natural freshwater pool below.<-p>

Upon arrival, enjoy approximately 1 hour of free time to relax and explore the island at your own pace. Beach chairs, refreshments, lunch, and other amenities are available for purchase at an additional cost.<-p>

After your island visit, reboard the catamaran and enjoy an approximately 1-hour sail back across Samaná Bay before returning to the pier.<-p>

Enjoy an approximately 20-minute drive from the pier to Samaná Town, where you will board an open boat for an approximately 45-minute journey to Los Haitises National Park, a protected area known for its distinctive rock formations, mangrove forests and diverse wildlife.<-p>

Upon arrival, spend approximately 45 minutes exploring the park by boat. During the cruise, pass coastal formations including the site known as "Mouth of the Shark," a large cave formation that emerges from the sea, before continuing to Bird Cay, home to a variety of bird species including frigatebirds, pelicans and vultures.<-p>

Next, participate in an approximately 15-minute safety briefing and receive the equipment required for the kayaking portion of the excursion.<-p>

The experience then continues with approximately one hour of combined kayaking and cave exploration. Guests will be divided into two groups, with one group kayaking through the mangrove channels while the other explores San Gabriel Cave on foot. After approximately 30 minutes, the groups will switch activities. While kayaking, guests can observe the mangrove ecosystem and its wildlife, including bird nests, small crabs and oysters. During the cave visit, guests will have the opportunity to view ancient Taíno pictographs and learn about the history of the island s original inhabitants.<-p>

Following the activities, return the equipment and board the boat for the approximately 45-minute journey back to Samaná Town. The experience concludes with an approximately 20-minute drive back to the pier.<-p>

Discover the natural landscapes and cultural heritage of Los Haitises National Park during this experience lasting approximately three hours and forty-five minutes. Travel by speedboat through mangrove waterways, observe local birdlife, and explore caves featuring ancient Taíno artwork and natural rock formations.

Excursion Details<-strong><-p>

Enjoy an approximately 15-minute transfer from the pier to Las Garitas, where you will board a speedboat and receive a brief safety orientation before departure. From here, travel by boat for approximately 25 minutes towards Los Haitises National Park, a protected area known for its mangrove forests, coastal cays and diverse wildlife.<-p>

Upon arrival, spend approximately one hour exploring the mangrove channels and the area around Bird Cay. During the visit, your guide will provide information about the native and migratory bird species that inhabit this ecosystem and explain the importance of the park s protected environment.<-p>

Next, spend approximately one hour and 30 minutes visiting La Linea and La Arena Caves. Here, guests can view ancient Taíno pictographs and learn about the island s indigenous history. The caves also feature naturally formed stalactites and stalagmites that have developed over many centuries.<-p>

Following the cave visit, board the boat for the approximately 20-minute return journey to Las Garitas. The experience concludes with an approximately 15-minute drive back to the pier.<-p>
