• We will head off to discover one of the most fascinating natural areas on the island, where the plant and wildlife thrive amongst the green mangroves and the glistening waters of the two lakes.
• On our stand up paddle, which uses a board similar to a surf board where you stand and navigate using a paddle, we will paddle between the two lakes observing the spellbinding views provided by this magical habitat, looking for manatee, pleasant , large and round sea mammals.
• With a bit of luck, we might have the opportunity to interact with the large local manatee population which is not the only attraction. The area is, in fact, home to fish, birds, small canaries, owls and turtles, which, from time to time, love being watched.
• The plantlife is just as interesting. Right before us, we will see extremely beautiful plant species, such as the leafy mahogany and the evergreen guayacan as well as genuine palm trees, mangroves and a rapture of shrubbery.
• After such excitement, we will take a break and relax on the beach, sunbathing under the Caribbean sun.

• We will leave the port by coach directly for the northern cost of the island to then hop on-board our catamaran.

• We continue towards the amazing Art Deco Cathedral of St. Philip in Plaza Independencia also known as Parque Central and heart of the historical city centre and admire the magnificent Victorian architecture in light pastel colours.

Dive into the island of rum! At the Macroix distillery, the scent will surround you, and your palate will rejoice. Then set off again through pastel-colored streets, past shops bursting with color and views racing by as you travel by bus, until you reach the San Felipe Fort, where the ocean will take your breath away. You'll head back to the ship with a suitcase full of memories...and maybe a bottle under your arm.

• We will leave the port by coach heading forPuerto Plata, literally the "silver port", as named by Christopher Columbus, who remained spell bounded by the glistening waters of this corner of paradise.
• The first stop on our tour is the famous Macroix distillery, founded in 1899, which produces excellent Dominican rum.
• Upon entering, we will have the opportunity to visit the factory building and find out interesting facts on the history and the bottling process before the product is exported.
• Once the visit has ended, we will move onto the cafeteria to taste the rum of which various qualities, such as Anejo, Carta Dorada, Extra Viejo and many more: an experience for true connoisseurs!
• We will wave goodbye to the distillery and arrive at Puerto Plata, where we can indulge our desire to shop and purchase traditional souvenirs from the Dominican Republic.

Then listen to a few simple instructions before you dive in at Dolphin Swim, for games and cuddles with two playful dolphins from Ocean World at Puerto Plata. • After we have received some instructions, we will dive in to observe up-close how the dolphins behave. With our 20-minute **swimming session"", we will experience the unforgettable feeling of playing with these affectionate mammals and feeding them.
