ABSEILING DOWN THE “

ABSEILING DOWN THE “GORGO DE LA ESCALERA” CANYON: YOU, THE ROCK AND PURE ADRENALINE

In a nutshell

Head to the hidden village of Anna and begin your mission: explore the El Gorgo de la Escalera canyon, a gorge carved out by the water over millions of years. Here, pick up your equipment, listen to the guide and throw yourself into the adventure: abseiling down limestone cliffs, natural slides smoothed by erosion, leaps into crystal-clear pools, and stretches of river trekking that remind you why you chose to come here.
An adrenaline-fueled experience that you can enjoy right here, right now - not everyone would have the courage to try.

Main stops
  • Transfer from the port to Anna village
  • Canyoning at El Gorgo de la Escalera
  • Abseiling, natural water slides, water trekking through pools
  • Professional guide and full technical equipment

The programme

Climb aboard the bus and set off: Destination: Anna, a jewel of a place in the countryside where your adventure begins.
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by your guide and you'll immediately pick up on the right vibe — the kind that tells you: “OK, today we’re not playing around.”
Helmet, harness, backpack with drainage system and everything you need to have fun safely: you'll be kitted out one by one, every detail will be checked, and then your guide will explain what you’ll be doing.
And whilst they’re talking to you about safety, you’ll be thinking of just one thing: when can I get into the canyon?

A short walk and you’ll find yourself in front of El Gorgo de la Escalera: limestone walls, flowing water, a natural passageway carved out over the centuries. This is where your descent begins. With your rope in hand, you'll abseil down the first drop.
Then come the slides carved out by the water, the stretches where you walk along in the river, the sections where you let the current carry you along and — for the bravest among you — even jumps into natural pools. The rocks change shape around every bend, the water is cool, and the colors of the gorge look as if they’ve been painted by hand. You'll be fully supervised, completely safe, so you can enjoy this thrilling, adrenaline-filled experience.

After the final descent, head back up the path and return to the ship with a smile that says all that needs to be said.
You still have energy coursing through your veins, along with the knowledge that you’ve just done something you couldn’t have experienced anywhere else.
An extreme yet accessible experience, wild yet guided, intense yet incredibly personal.

Good to know

VALENCIA AND THE ALBUFERA: A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME
VALENCIA & ALBUFERA

VALENCIA AND THE ALBUFERA: A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME

In a nutshell

Start from the future, and return to the past: Your Valencia adventure starts on the bus, with views of the futuristic architecture of the City of Arts and Sciences before going back in time along a route rich in Gothic and Baroque features and finally experience the oldest rural trades on a local fisher's boat. In the end, you’ll bring home the secret of the city: A rare blend of cutting-edge vibes, history, traditions and agricultural heritage.

Main stops
  • Panoramic coach tour of the City of Arts and Sciences to its historic center
  • Walk around the historic center: Lonja de la Seda, Water Tribunal, Cathedral, Mercado Central, Plaza del Ayuntamiento (external visits)
  • Panoramic boat tour of the Albufera lagoon, amid canals and islets
  • Paella-based lunch in a typical restaurant

The programme
  • We start from the future: From the bus, take in the exterior architecture of the City of Arts and Sciences, a futuristic site that developed on the drained bed of the Turia river!
  • But from here, the passage of time changes direction, returning to the past as you walk through the alleys of the city center.
  • The guide will stun you with three UNESCO-inscribed elements of Cultural Heritage. One is the Water Tribunal, where eight farmers in blue blouses have been settling disputes among their peers every Thursday since 960 AD.
  • Everything is unique, nothing routine. And that includes the Mercado Central. Instead of the chaos and stalls you’d expect from a central market, it’s like a modern cathedral, with iron columns, marble, mosaics and windows.
  • Then, when the guide tells you about Las Fallas, you appreciate the wildness of the Valencian spirit. Fire, music, ritual, color and allegory explode in a historic spring celebration now in the realm of mythos.
  • Finally, by boat among the canals of the Albufera with a local fisherman, you’ll discover the city’s origins: eel fishing, the first “barracas” and the paella that you’ll have for lunch. Did you know they say it was invented right here?
Good to know
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the experience.
  • This is one of the most popular experiences so book early.

Finally, we will stop to sip the typical local orange juice, the iconic drink of Valencia.

We will observe this stunning church, the construction of which began in 1262 in a Gothic-Cistercian style and took until the 18th century to complete, producing a wonderful blend of complementary styles.
