REAWAKEN THE SENSES AT VALLDEMOSSA
In Valldemossa there is a magnetic atmosphere, in every sense. Listen to it in the piano concerto at the Cartuja, that has hosted Chopin and the writer George Sand. Observe it in the paintings by Miró and breathe it in the views that smell of Mediterranean. Since even taste matters, you will not go away without tasting the “coca de patata”, potato brioche, and the “jabugo” ham.
Main stops
- Valldemossa: Cartuja, Son Marroig
- Coca de patata tasting
- Lunch at the café Mirò
The programme
- Sitting comfortably on the bus, allow your eyes to take in the view that leads to Valldemossa from the sea, a medieval village in the Sierra di Tramuntana.

- It was also the winter residence of the Frederic Chopin and of his companion, the writer, George Sand. Can you hear this music? The Polish composer wrote it precisely here and today a pianist will play it for you live. Even Miró found inspiration in this corner of the island: don’t miss out on his paintings.
- Before leaving Valldemossa, taste the coca de patata, a sweet bread that the Majorcans enjoy with hot chocolate, and let yourself be inspired by the magnificent views that the terrace on the sea of Son Marroig, manor of the archduke Luis Salvador of Austria, Sissi’s cousin, can offer you.
