  • We will leave the port by coach directly for the northern cost of the island to then hop on-board our catamaran.

  • We will head off to discover one of the most fascinating natural areas on the island, where the plant and wildlife thrive amongst the green mangroves and the glistening waters of the two lakes.
  • On our stand up paddle, which uses a board similar to a surf board where you stand and navigate using a paddle, we will paddle between the two lakes observing the spellbinding views provided by this magical habitat, looking for manatee, pleasant , large and round sea mammals.
  • With a bit of luck, we might have the opportunity to interact with the large local manatee population which is not the only attraction. The area is, in fact, home to fish, birds, small canaries, owls and turtles, which, from time to time, love being watched.
  • The plantlife is just as interesting. Right before us, we will see extremely beautiful plant species, such as the leafy mahogany and the evergreen guayacan as well as genuine palm trees, mangroves and a rapture of shrubbery.
  • After such excitement, we will take a break and relax on the beach, sunbathing under the Caribbean sun.

  • The first stop on our tour is the famous Macroix distillery, founded in 1899, which produces excellent Dominican rum.
  • Upon entering, we will have the opportunity to visit the factory building and find out interesting facts on the history and the bottling process before the product is exported.
  • Once the visit has ended, we will move onto the cafeteria to taste the rum of which various qualities, such as Anejo, Carta Dorada, Extra Viejo and many more: an experience for true connoisseurs!
  • We will wave goodbye to the distillery and arrive at Puerto Plata, where we can indulge our desire to shop and purchase traditional souvenirs from the Dominican Republic.
  • Our coach will take us on a sightseeing tour to discover the city, with its centre boasting Victorian, soft pastel colour buildings.

Get ready to be amazed in the **largest aqua park in the Caribbean! **At Ocean World in Puerto Plata, dolphins await you for games, cuddles, kisses and a few splashes. Then off, snorkeling amid tropical fish, sea lion and shark shows, relaxation on the beach and walks in the forest amid toucans and macaques.

The programme
  • We will leave the port and travel to Ocean World, the biggest water adventure park in the Caribbean, where we will enjoy some exciting experiences of the marine world.
  • We will head to the dolphinarium within the large complex, where we will prepare to experience the incredible thrill of direct contact with the dolphins, which will amaze us with their intelligence and playfulness.
  • After a short introduction to find out more about the dolphins and the important rules for our safety, we will enter the water up to our waists and interact with the dolphins for 20 unforgettable minutes.
  • The water is shallow so it doesn't matter if you can't swim. Before we know it, we will be making friends with the dolphins who will entertain us, play with us and even let us stroke them.
  • We feed our cute and cheerful playmates directly from our hands and receive a mega kiss that seals our friendship..
  • The surprises don't end there: there are so many options available at Ocean World! We can have fun snorkelling in the lagoon, discovering brightly coloured fish and the incredible underwater flora; or we can enjoy a dip in the pool or relax on the beach on the sun loungers reserved for us.
  • We can watch various animal shows including sea lions and sharks, not to mention our old friends the dolphins.
  • We will also seize the opportunity to enjoy a pleasant walk through the rain forest, where we will encounter macaques, toucans and lovebird parrots with their colourful feathers.
