Excursion details<-strong><-p> Accompanied by MSC¿s onboard Bike leaders, you set off on a memorable cycling tour from the port, choosing between a standard bike or an e-bike. The bike leaders are there to ensure your safety, coordinate logistics, and provide basic information about each point of interest as you travel.<-p> Your journey starts at the Viking Rønne Centennial Monument, a stone marker honouring the area¿s Viking origins, offering an opportunity to reflect on Bornholm¿s thousand-year history. The next stop is the island¿s West Coast Beach, where the wild Baltic Sea meets golden sands. This is an ideal place to pause, take in the fresh sea air, and enjoy the open views, providing moments for relaxation and clarity.<-p> The tour continues inland to the Nyker Round Church. One of just four round churches on Bornholm, Nyker dates back to the 12th century and is a notable example of Danish medieval architecture. Its almost perfectly circular nave and sturdy construction were designed both for worship and as a refuge in unsettled times. Here, you can admire its unique architecture and consider its historical significance.<-p> The final segment of the ride leads you through a picturesque forest path¿a gentle and invigorating route where the sounds of birds and the leafy canopy create a tranquil setting, ideal for conversation and connection. The tour concludes back at the port, having explored the region¿s natural and cultural highlights. By taking part, you become an MSC Bike Adventurer, making memories with companions and discovering Bornholm¿s heritage and scenic beauty.<-p> Important Information:<-strong>This excursion is available in two versions: BKA (standard bike) and BKB (e-bike). All participants follow the same route together at a shared pace, regardless of bike choice. Minimum participation age: 8 years, and children must be at least 155 cm tall with written consent from a parent or guardian. The ride covers about 28 km with an elevation gain of around 110 metres, suitable for those with moderate fitness levels. All guests must complete and sign a safety waiver before joining. Comfortable sportswear, closed shoes, sun protection, and a reusable water bottle are recommended. Please help protect the local environment by minimising waste and avoiding single-use plastics. The itinerary may change according to traffic and weather conditions.<-p>
