ALL OF BUENOS AIRES: A FINAL EXPERIENCE OF THE GRAND BUILDINGS, COLORS AND TANGO
Before boarding your return flight, get ready to enjoy a last tour of Buenos Aires ! Wander with us along the elegant avenues of Recoleta and the tomb of Evita, breathe in the imposing atmosphere of Avenida 9 de Julio with the Obelisco and Colón theater, and then stop off in Plaza de Mayo with its Casa Rosada and the cathedral. Finally, enjoy the Caminito in the La Boca neighborhood, with its colors, artists and tango…before bidding farewell to the city and getting on your flight!
Main stops
- Recoleta neighbourhood, monumental cemetery, Evita Perón tomb
- Avenida 9 de Julio, Obelisco, Colón theatre
- Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, Metropolitan cathedral
- La Boca, Caminito
The programme
- We reach the Recoleta barrio by coach, an elegant residential neighbourhood famous for its social scene as well as for the Basilica of Our Lady of Pilar and monumental cemetery, a true gem with amazing chapels and statues and charming tree-lined avenues. The chapel of the Duarte family is located here and is home to the tomb of Eva Duarte Perón, better known as Evita.
- We continue towards Avenida 9 de Julio. Inaugurated in 1937, it is one of the widest roads in the world. The neighbourhood is characterised by coloured houses decorated with flags, statues and posters of Diego Armando Maradona. The most characteristic road of the neighbourhood is Caminito, the last stop on our tour. Here, we can walk among the lively colourful houses and the stalls and take one last picture of the tango dancers in the street.

RECOLETA: FROM MARBLE TO ART, IN THE SHADOW OF EVITA
Recoleta is the neighborhood where Buenos Aires looks at itself in the mirror and likes what it sees. Between grand buildings that look like movie sets, cafés with old-world charm, and fascinating cemetery that exudes mystery, you'll wander around in the shadow of Evita — elegant, enigmatic, and still much loved.
Main stops
- Walking tour of the most elegant neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
- Visit to the famous Recoleta cemetery and the tomb of Evita Perón.
- Stroll amongst the grand buildings of Avenida Alvear, the Obelisco, the Teatro Colón and the Plaza San Martín.
The programme
Forget the touristy tango side of Buenos Aires: at Recoleta, breathe in a sense of elegance that needs no introduction. Set off from the port, and within a few minutes, you'll find yourself surrounded by perfect parks, Liberty-style terraces and an atmosphere that evokes the old Argentine aristocracy. All in small groups of up to 22 people, so you can fully enjoy the experience.
The Recoleta Cemetery is your first stop, and it's anything but gloomy: a maze of sumptuous mausoleums where history is carved in marble. Among illustrious names and stone angels, there she is — Evita. Her tomb is discreet, almost hidden, but the myth has never faded.
Continue along Avenida Alvear, the avenue of pomp and splendor, where the palaces of great landowners have been turned into luxury hotels and embassies. Then, pause to cross the gigantic Avenida 9 de Julio — yes, the one where the Obelisco dominates the skyline — and take a look at the Teatro Colón, the world's temple of opera.
The grand finale is in Plaza San Martín, among monumental ficus trees and buildings that still emanate a sense of glory. The statue of the Liberator General greets you from above, and if you want, you can linger and browse the store windows on Florida Street before returning to the ship.
Recoleta doesn't shout: it whispers tales of power, beauty and immortal charisma. Just like Evita.
