• From the Plaza Independencia with its monument dedicated to a national hero to the cafés on Via 18 de Julio, and the capital's iconic stadium. Meanwhile, keep your camera to hand in Plaza Virgilio: from here, the views over the city are worthy of framing.
• Then head down to Baar Fun Fun, an iconic spot which has been home to tango dancing since 1895. If you want to find out which celebrities have stopped off here, just take a look at the walls.
• Then, eyes on the stage: a traditional tango show awaits you, and you'll hear the rhythm that pumps through the veins of the Montevideo natives.
• An interesting fact: did you know that France, Argentina and Uruguay are competing for the nationality of Carlos Gardel, the greatest tango singer of all time? Ask your guide.

• Our day starts with a view of Plaza Indipendencia. 
• It is now the turn to visit the Palacio Legislativo, home to the Uruguayan Parliament. Its imposing marble structure makes it one of the most beautiful parliaments in the world. 
• We continue towards the El Prado district, characterised by the largest park in the city, typical historical buildings and some important monuments. 
• We then cross the Batlle y Ordóñez park, named after former Uruguayan President José Batlle y Ordóñez. Pass by the Obelisk dedicated to those who drafted the first Constitution, La Carreta monument (Covered Wagon) and the Estadio Centenario built in 1930 for the first football world cup and declared a monument by FIFA. 
• We end our visit in Plaza Virgilio to take a beautiful photograph of Montevideo Bay.

• We leave the port behind us on a coach and set off to discover Montevideo, the charming capital of Uruguay whose majestic 19th and 20th-century buildings, green park and historic monuments make it an unmissable destination.
• We reach Plaza Independencia, which divides the Old City from the modern part and is overlooked by interesting buildings and monuments, and continue as far as Palacio Legislativo del Uruguay, home to Uruguay's parliament and considered one of the three most beautiful government buildings in the world thanks to its marble structure.
• We then reach Parque Battle, considered Montevideo's largest green space. There are many monuments in the park, such as the Obelisk dedicated to those who drafted the first Constitution and the Estadio Centenario, built in 1930 for the first football world cup.
• We will head to the residential area of Pocitos, an elegant district overlooking the sea, and stop at Montevideo sign to take a beautiful picture. Then take free time for shopping in one of the many ultra-modern shopping centres.
• On the way back , we proceed along the amazing white sandy beaches that add to the charm of the city and contribute to its lively atmosphere.

• Our tour starts in the amazing city of Montevideo, where 19th-century atmosphere and 20th-century buildings live in perfect harmony with lovely parks and white beaches. 
• In the port area we will learn about the role that the port of Montevideo played during World War II in the Battle of the Río de la Plata.
  Our guide will tell us the story of the battle, made famous by the battleship Graf Spee battleship, sent into the waters of the South Atlantic Ocean in the weeks before the start of World War II. After sinking many opposing British ships, she was severely damaged and forced to take refuge in Montevideo, where she was later decommissioned.
• Continue with a city drive through Plaza Independencia, built in memory of General Artigas and on to the Legislative Palace (photo stop) 
• We then head towards Juanico Winery, considered one of the leading wineries and exporters of Uruguayan wines. On arrival visit the vineyard’s structure, the cellar and enjoy a wine tasting session. 
• Before returning to the port, we visit the winery store to buy some authentic Uruguayan wine to take home.

• In just a few minutes by bus you'll reach Plaza Independencia: this is where your walking tour of the historic center of Montevideo begins.
• Overlooking the square is the former presidential palace, which today bears the name of Uruguay's national hero, José Artigas. It boasts balconies and neoclassical columns, while the Salvo palace displays an eclectic style and has the highest tower, one of the most famous symbols of the city.
• But the real star of the old town is the Solís Theater: with your guide, you can step inside and snap some pictures of the stucco work, frescoes and glittering decorations, as well as discovering all the secrets of this recently-restored icon.
• But Montevideo is so much more than just its monuments: first get lost among the curiosities of the flea market, then plunge into the scents and colors of the city's street food.“Empanadas” stuffed with meat, traditional sandwiches with sausage or “alfajor”, the chocolate dessert with a creamy milk filling? • Get off the bus and... under one of the bleachers is the football museum. Here, you can admire the kits of legendary champions, old trophies and even the ball from the first World Cup goal. By the end, you'll come to realize why the Uruguayans are so passionate about this game.
• And to top it all off in style, you'll take the panoramic route back, with a view: you're on the Rambla, the street that runs right along the front of the city, above the sea.

• You'll find it all at MAM, the old farmer's market, which has been a site of historic heritage since 1999 - it's bustling with local vendors who will catch your eye with all kinds of merchandise.
• With every step you take with your guide, pyramids of fruit, vegetables and prized Uruguayan meats release scents that will drive you crazy. But did you know that here, you can also find a theater, restaurants and craft breweries?

With sunshine, glamor and a touch of the jet set, this is a holiday destination to be enjoyed... and the perfect selfie is practically mandatory!

• We leave the port behing us and drive approx. 85 miles east towards Punta del Este, one of the finest resorts in South America where Hollywood-style villas are surrounded by nature. 
• We admire Punta del Este avenue and the magnificent Playa Mansa and Playa Brava. The names of the beaches reflect their characteristics: the former is mansa, i.e. tranquil with calm waters, while the latter is brava, i.e. wild and most roughest waters of the Atlantic Ocean. 
• We reach Punta del Este, also known as Queen of Summer, a world-famous Latin American beach resort. A meeting place for the jet set and a nightlife capital. 
• At lunchtime, we have some free time to stroll along Avenida Gorlero, a long street lined with bars, restaurants and shops and therefore ideal to grab a bite to eat or do some shopping. If we want to sunbathe instead, we can take advantage of some wonderful exotic white sandy beaches.
