MDINA & THE ODYSSEY EXPERIENCE: A TRIP IN TIME FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY

In a nutshell

A half-day excursion perfect for families: first off, exploring Mdina, with its lanes that seem to be from a film set (and adored by the younger ones), then it's on to Mercury Towers for the Odyssey Experience, a multi-sensorial journey to discover a super fun version of Malta through lights, sounds and images.

MOSTA & MDINA: A JOURNEY THROUGH THE HISTORY OF MALTA

In a nutshell

With us, you don’t just visit Malta: you experience it through the centuries. From Mosta, with one of the most impressive domes in the world, in Mdina, the ancient capital surrounded by walls and Baroque palaces. A journey that takes in miracles, earthquakes and reconstructed buildings, to discover an island where every era has left a visible mark.

Main stops
  • Visit to Mosta: Rotunda of St Mary
  • Visit to Mdina: St Paul's Cathedral

The programme
  • Your journey begins in Mosta with the Rotunda of St Mary: this church has one of the biggest unsupported domes in the world. • The next stop is Mdina, Malta's ancient capital. If the entrance gate looks familiar it's because it was the gateway to King's Landing in an episode of Game of Thrones. The fortifications were built by the Arabs but there is little else left from the time of their rule: Mdina was destroyed by an earthquake in 1693 and rebuilt in Baroque style. One example of this stratification is St Paul's Cathedral.
